Nissan – N.I.N.A

Introduction

Nissan wanted to create a continuously present, omni-channel concierge service that transcended the traditional filtering, configuration and research experience, through the use of AI. We created N.I.N.A – The Nissan Intelligent Assistant. This project was a proof of concept MVP for the global development team.

N.I.N.A - Feature sections

Through intuitive conversation, insightful content, and personalised recommendations, it empowered clients to craft their perfect vehicle, experience and service wherever they are.

/ Features

NINA introduces themselves and begins asking a series of questions to begin to learn the users tastes, styles and driving needs.

After a short conversation NINA quickly directs the user to two of the models in the range with the aim to start a conversation around what makes them the right choice.

/ Configurator

NINA ask about anything particular that the user was interested in to allow them to further configure their vehicle choice.

The user is shown the specifications and can now configure details like interior finish, engine performance and any extras.

/ Recommendations

NINA scans the demonstrator fleet for the closest spec match and asks if they'd like to go to the retailer and have a test drive.

The user confirms this date and test drive suggestion, and this is booked in for the required day and time.

/ Connected Car

Post-purchase when the car is connected to the app, the user can view all the live diagnostic details. A notification is sent that there is a fault, so they ask NINA to help with a emergency maintenance booking.

NINA has all the car and fault details, so proceeds with booking the emergency appointment with the local dealer.

How it came together

It decoded the unspoken desires of individuals, moving beyond mere aesthetics to understand their driving philosophy and lifestyle.

Final thoughts

The NINA project was rapid, fun and an exciting challenge. From concept to working MVP prototype in 3 weeks, was an indication of what can be done when the strategy is clear.
