The task was to build a unified design system and workflow across design and engineering – reconciling inconsistent components, legacy patterns, and competing workflows. Establishing a single source of truth, shared token libraries, and clear governance. The result: faster iteration, consistent user experiences, and measurable gains in cross-functional adoption.
/ Solutions
Audit & inventory existing components, patterns, and inconsistencies across product surfaces
Define design tokens (color, typography, spacing) and build a shared component library in code
Establish governance — ownership, contribution guidelines, versioning, and deprecation processes
Drive adoption through documentation, onboarding sessions, and embedding the system into team workflows

A dynamic CTA system was introduced through tokenisation that defined Primary, Secondary and Tertiary variants and interactives states, for clear navigation across components and pages.
A comprehensive library of 2D and 3D icons was catalogued and organised using design tokens.
There were several work streams and enhancements made while I was with the Jerry team. Some were quite fundamental to the whole product ecosystem, such as; AI-powered car diagnosis, that became a persistent part of the DNA of the user experience; to others that were to streamline UI/interaction design to better deliver existing services.
Below are just a few of the improvements we made to the product.

My time at Jerry was interesting and different for me to be working in-house for a dynamic product company. Working for a Silicon Valley start-up was also a first for me.
And it must be said, the whole team at Jerry were a great bunch.
